Cut, Paste, Post
Azhderian, Brockley, & Bear Exhibit
at Quicksilver
June 30August 6, 2006
Wooden assemblage and small sculpture, collage, and fine art
postcards highlight Quicksilvers current exhibition beginning
June 30th.
"Cut, Paste, Post" features small "fractured" animal sculptures
of ceramic, wood, and stainless steel by San Diego sculptor John
Brockley; intimate assembled collages of glass mosaic, child
size furniture, and small cabinets by mixed media artist Bear of
Santa Rosa; and wood and mixed media collage by Alan Azhderian,
Sebastopol.

The three artists will also show a very special selection of
"postcard" art which they individually created and then sent
back and forth to each other through the US mail.
Bear, a full-time artist and part-time janitor, will exhibit her
work for the first time in Sonoma County. With a background in
drawing and graphics as well as ceramics and assemblage, she
attended the California College of Arts and Crafts, but
considers herself to be largely a self-taught artist. Brockley,
with an MFA in printmaking, presently lives and makes sculpture
in southern California. Alan Azhderian, also a well known Sonoma
County art instructor, has exhibited extensively in California
and the greater United States and has degrees in both
printmaking and drawing.
