Deep Inside UsThe Painted Words of Jack CarterSaturday, September 11, 2004, 2 to 5 p.m.The illustrated aphorisms of Jack Carter will be featured in a very special three-hour Show on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at the Quicksilver Mine Co. in downtown Forestville. This afternoon Event will also include a reading by the Artist & Author at around Carter, a former San Francisco freelance fundraiser for politicians, the opera, and Hastings Law School, has written more than 1,000 aphorisms, many of which he has illustrated in over 65 one-of-a-kind artist books. Fifteen of these books will be featured in his Quicksilver Show. His aphorisms include "He had perfect credentials. The only thing missing was everything else." Carter's only credentials are a Masters Degree from the Columbia School of Journalism, and an under five-minute mile in 1942. (His work was also featured at the San Francisco Cartoon Art Museum in 1998.) Carter's other chief interest is researching the 562 bars and taverns in San Francisco, where he ferries to from his home in San Rafael on Fridays. 15 Jack Carter aphorisms:
